As an update, their response below is full of lies. Again, I’d avoid at all costs. Their techs don’t even know how fast wipers should run. Run far away. I took my car in to get the first two settings on my wipers fixed; they weren’t working. When I picked my car up from the shop, the first 2 settings worked - which was great - but my fastest wiper setting did not work. I took it back to the shop and they literally told me my wipers didn’t go any faster (like I haven’t owned the car for 6yrs). Clearly they don’t know what they’re doing AT ALL, I took it to another shop and they were able to get it fixed within an hour. 17th Street Auto is a waste of time and money.
Dear Audra, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your recent experience with us and would like to address your concerns. Below is our initial findings of your vehicle thru our digital vehicle report/inspection: https://photos.app.goo.gl/W8kQumEmcwmv7DcVA Initial customer concern write up: "the first 2 settings aren’t working on my car. My friend previously got it to work by messing with the wiring in the steering wheel" (concern was remedied to the best of our ability) 2nd customer concern: "Could you replace the windshield wipers? Blades in passenger seat. I tried to do it myself but can’t get the current blades off" (concern was remedied) 3rd customer concern: Could you also replace any bulbs that are “out?” I have some in a bag in the passenger seat. (concern was remedied) When your car was brought in, we discovered that it had previously been broken into and your "friend" had been messing with it prior to us even touching your vehicle which we addressed with you, resulting in missing bolts for the steering column cover and a wiring issue. Despite these challenges, we replaced the turn signal switch and worked diligently to resolve the wiper settings issue you initially came in for. We apologize if our initial assessment and repairs did not fully meet your expectations. We did our best to rectify the situation, including refunding your money as a gesture of goodwill the full amount for the turn signal switch repair. We are glad that you initially saw our efforts and updated your rating to five stars, but then reverted back to a 1 star when we explained the situation further, you were unhappy then happy then unhappy, accountability has to go both ways unfortunately. However, we understand your frustration with the wiper speed issue. It's regrettable that our diagnosis differed from the other shop’s findings, after explaining to you and showing you what the issue was... We always aim to provide thorough and accurate repairs, but it seems we fell short in this instance. We tried everything to keep you happy. At 17th Street Automotive, we value our customers and their vehicles, and your satisfaction is important to us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our services. If you would like to discuss this further or if there's anything else we can do to assist you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. Sincerely, 17th Street Automotive Management
