In Virginia Beach near the beachfront. Great service, never a problem with anything they have done for me. The shop is clean and everyone there is friendly.

This service shop is top notch in my book. We have used them on several occasions and they are always honest and upfront. Just recently we had to take our Jeep a Jeep Dealership for a computer issue. When we picked it up they recommended thousands of dollars’ worth of work to be done. I then took it to BP to have an oil change and check some of the things the dealership mentioned and they said they were not needed. They didn’t even charge checking these things, just the oil change.

Needed and oil change and I thought I needed my rotors change because they were making a loud noise. I took in around 1 pm and they did a test drive to determine what it really was before saying yeah sure we can fix that. Which was great! Some auto repairs just say ok it will be done before actually looking at the real issue. I didn't need my rotors change, my two rear tires needed to be replaced instead. The rubber was almost gone on them. Thank god for them for being honest and helping me out. After an an hour, they called me said it was all done.I will def bring my car back again for any repair! Thank you guys!!

I needed a vehicle inspection one late Sunday morning. The service tech told me what work he had ahead of me but informed me he could get it done before they closed at 3pm. It was about 11am and he had me done before 2pm. Thanks

Rick and his service team ALWAYS do excellent work on my vehicle, and their repair work NEVER costs more than the estimated value, and often ends up costing quite a bit less. It's a clean shop with consistently friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

I've used this shop for years, and have always had a good experience. They even let me provide the parts for a brake job (my brother-in-law works for a parts distributor) and they just provided the labor, foregoing a profit on the parts)! Try THAT at a chain!! Rick and the gang have also dropped what they were doing, to fix a flat, on more than one occasion. I back these local boys all the way!

It's never good to have car troubles on vacation. Though I live in Richmond and am in VB many times per year, a breakdown is a breakdown and I needed help. I was especially happy to find 17th Street Auto open on the July 4th weekend, especially the day after tropical storm Arthur came through the area. While their single Yelp review wasn't glowing, the reviews I'd read elsewhere gave me enough to take a chance and I'm glad I did. These guys helped me get my car to the shop, since it wouldn't start, and called me an hour after I dropped it off with the diagnosis. I gave the go-ahead to replace the alternator and also the three older belts since they already had it apart I also asked them to clear out the AC drain hose because water was leaking onto the floor in the car. I dropped a star from my review because this wasn't done. Overall, this was a good repair experience and I'd go there again. They were quick with a diagnosis, quick with the repair, came in cheaper than their estimate, even with the added belts, and called when they said they would call. I'm not a fan of chain automotive repair places (Meineke, Midas, etc.) and prefer to support locally owned small businesses like this. The pricing seemed fair for the work they did and the urgency with which they did it. It would have been easy to overcharge me because they knew I had to get the car repaired. I appreciate that they didn't gouge me, and seem to run a good repair shop.

My wife found this place about 10 years ago. No special relationship, just a referral. They've taken care of her for a decade, always doing great work for a great price. We've been talked out of more work than we been advised to do. Great advice, always looking out for us. We have a hard time getting to the shop during working hours, 17th Street is great because we can drop early, pick up late if we need to. Could not more highly recommend this place.
